Important Information to make sure your signature counts
To make sure your signature counts, please fill out the petition COMPLETELY and ACCURATELY.
- You must be a registered voter in Ramsey County .
- You must be registered to vote WITH THE NAME AND ADDRESS PRINTED on the petition - it will be verified
- You can check you voter registration status on the Secretary of State's website.
- Each person must sign for themselves - DO NOT SIGN FOR SOMEONE ELSE
- Where it asks for your Printed Name, print it LEGIBLY:
- First, Middle and Last
- As listed on the Voter Registration List when you vote
- No Nick Name, unless that is how you are registered
- Full Middle Name, unless registered with middle initial
- Birth Year is 4 digits (e.g. 1959, not 59) - REQUIRED BY STATE LAW
- The City is the City you live in, NOT your Mailing Address
Common reasons for signatures being discarded
- not registered to vote in Ramsey County
- moved, even from one apartment to another in the same building
- printed name does not match voter registration
- name changed - marriage/divorce
- printed nickname instead of first name
- printed middle name instead of first name
- printed initial instead of first name
- misspelled name in voter registration
- incorrect or missing Birth Year
- signed more than once
- haven't voted in 4 years
- printed name or address not legible

Signing Locations:
Watch for Dave B's van with signs on top most days in various locations around St. Paul.
Because we have reached saturation points at most locations around the county, and now that the weather allows it, we will be spending more time going door-to-door. If you would like us to come to your neighborhood, let us know (below). In order to make it more productive for our volunteers, it would be helpful if you would contact your neighbors so that we can scedule a time when we can get as many signatures as possible.
